Right to Employment: NAWS™ is fighting to ensure employment rights regardless of your age. We believe that Senior Workers are the most valuable resource our country has and it is vital to the country’s economic health to maximize the effective utilization of this resource.
Social Security Reform: NAWS™ believes it is important to protect the social security system for not only the retired, the near retired but the young as well. We support the elimination of the reduction in social security for recipients who chose to work. We support a gradual increase in the employment tax and a reasonable increase in retirement age as the general health and welfare of the senior workers increase.
IRA’s 401K’s, and Personal Savings Accounts: NAWS™ supports the establishment of personal retirement savings accounts and improving the ability to increase contributions to IRA’s and 401k’s through increased catch-up criteria. NAWS™ supports eliminating the mandatory requirement to begin withdrawing from retirement accounts at a given age. NAWS™ also supports legislation to allow senior workers after reaching a minimum age, to control the amount and timing of withdrawals from IRAs and 401Ks.
Increased Funding for Disease Research: NAWS™ believes it is possible to eliminate many of the diseases that impact our ability to continue working as we age. We believe that research should be significantly increased for those diseases that are on the verge of developing cures to increase the effectiveness of the aging work force. The specific diseases that should have increased research and development funding are:
- Alzheimer’s Disease
- Diabetes
- Multiple Sclerosis
- Parkinson’s Disease
- Huntington’s Chorea
- Cancer
Legal reform: To make our economy stronger and more competitive, America must reward, not punish, the efforts and dreams of entrepreneurs. Small business is the path of advancement, especially for women and minorities NAWS™ support legislation to eliminate needless regulation and protect honest job-creators from junk lawsuits and irresponsible class actions. Coincident with this benefit America’s corporations must lead with respect to their social responsibilities
Association health plans: NAWS™ supports association health plans for small businesses and their employees, as well as expanded health savings accounts.
Immigration reform: America's immigration system is also outdated, unsuited to the needs of our economy and to the values of our country. NAWS™ supports modernization of our immigration laws and regulations, the establishment of an enforceable visitor worker program and increased border security
Tax reform: Year after year, Americans are burdened by an archaic, incoherent federal tax code. NAWS™ supports a complete reconfiguration of the existing tax code to simplify reporting and eliminate social engineering through the tax code. We also support the permanent elimination of the estate tax and elimination of the tax on IRA withdrawals
Fast Track for Teaching Credentials: NAWS™ supports establishing methods and policies to allow Domain Field experts (Masters in their industries) to fast track obtaining teaching credentials. As our work force matures the transition of knowledge and experience must be transferred to the new generation as it matures.
